It may only be a second
And never come again
A days minutes past
Hours badly spent

It may only be a second
But needs no more
To make an impression
Relieve stressed core

It may only be a second
For which we live
That makes worth while
Tears we give

Please be mine
Not here but present
To make me smile
It may only be a second

The worst days can be brightened, if only for a second, by the simplest of things. Everyday one of my friends, or if I am lucky more than one, gives me one of those moments and it’s moments like that that make the rest of the day unimportant.
