As if a glimmering sunset

 Cast in a golden hue

Is my memory a fantasy

Or a true reflection of you

Did I dismiss what could have been

 As being what never was

Let slip through my fingers

What could be my greatest loss

The dream you spoke without a care

Seemed more myth than truth

A chance to far for my mind to see

My thoughts now set to muse

If that gamble was yet alive

Should I roll the dice

Or let the past only live in dreams

And risk dismissing twice
